Due to popular demand, the Milton Resnick and Pat Passlof Foundation is pleased to present a second concert by Idith Meshulam Korman, designed in response to the paintings of Milton Resnick. Her performances reference Resnick’s lyrical abstractions, his doubt and self-questioning, military service, experimentation, and interest in mysticism:

Idith Meshulam Korman received her bachelor’s degree from Rubin Academy in Tel Aviv and her doctorate from New York University, where she taught for ten years, researching the unpublished piano music of Stefan Wolpe. She has collaborated with the composer Gunther Schuller, as well as with the visual artists William Kentridge and Louise Fishman. She is the founder and director of Ensemble π, and sits on the board of the Association for the Promotion of New Music. She teaches at Bard College’s BPI Program.
