Caroline Stinson performs widely as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician. She has appeared at Zankel Hall, the Gardner Museum, the Smithsonian, the Koelner Philharmonie, Lucerne Festival, Centennial Centre in Canada, and Cité de la Musique in Europe. In recent seasons, she has appeared in recital with Accroche Note in Strasbourg (France), and as a soloist with the Stamford Symphony (Connecticut), under Eckart Stier, where she also serves as Principal Cellist. Her album Lines was released by Albany Records in 2011; she has contributed to more than a dozen chamber music recordings. Stinson was recently appointed Cellist of the Ciompi Quartet and Associate Professor of the Practice of Music in Cello at Duke University, and has taught cello and chamber music at the Juilliard School. She is the Co-Artistic Director of Weekend Chamber Music in the Delaware River Valley.
